  • - 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste

  • - 1 teaspoon of ground cumin

  • - 1 teaspoon of ground coriander

  • - 1 teaspoon of paprika

  • - 1 teaspoon of garam masala

  • - 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric

  • - Salt and pepper to taste

  • - 1/2 cup of unsalted butter

  • - 1 onion, finely chopped

  • - 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • - 1 tablespoon of grated ginger

  • - 1 cup of heavy cream

  • - Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about

5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for another 2 minutes.

3. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.

4. Stir in the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Stir in the heavy cream and continue to cook for another 5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.

6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

7. Serve the butter chicken over steamed rice or with naan bread. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
