  • - 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

  • - 1 tablespoon of mirin (optional)

  • - 1 teaspoon of sesame oil

  • - Salt and pepper to taste



Instructions:

1. In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.


2. Add the dried seaweed to the pot and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it becomes rehydrated.



3. Add the tofu cubes to the pot and let them cook for another 5 minutes until they are heated through.


4. In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a small amount of hot water to create a smooth paste.



5. Add the miso paste mixture to the pot and stir well to combine.


6. Add the soy sauce and mirin to the pot and let the soup simmer for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.



7. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.


8. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the sliced green onions and sesame oil.



9. Serve the miso soup hot in individual bowls and enjoy!
