Ingredients:

  1. - Shaved ice

  2. - Sweetened condensed milk

  3. - Evaporated milk

  4. - Ube (purple yam) jam

  5. - Leche flan (caramel custard)

  6. - Sweetened red beans

  7. - Sweetened saba (plantain) bananas

  8. - Sweetened jackfruit

  9. - Sweetened macapuno (coconut sport)

  10. - Nata de coco (coconut gel)

  11. - Pinipig (crisped rice)

  12. - Crushed cornflakes

  13. - Ube ice cream

  14. - Leche flan ice cream

  15. - Sweetened kaong (sugar palm fruit)

  16. - Gulaman (jelly cubes)

  17. - Red and green kaong (sweetened palm fruit)

  18. - Tapioca pearls (optional)



Instructions:


1. Prepare all the ingredients by cooking and cooling them beforehand. This includes making the leche flan, boiling the sweetened red beans, saba bananas, and jackfruit, and chilling the various sweetened fruits and toppings.



2. Fill a tall glass or bowl with a generous amount of shaved ice, leaving some space at the top for the toppings.


3. Drizzle a spoonful of sweetened condensed milk over the shaved ice, followed by a splash of evaporated milk.



4. Add a dollop of ube jam on top of the ice, followed by a slice of leche flan.


5. Layer the sweetened red beans, saba bananas, jackfruit, macapuno, nata de coco, kaong, and gulaman on top of the ice.



6. Sprinkle a handful of pinipig and crushed cornflakes over the toppings for added texture and crunch.


7. Place a scoop of ube ice cream and leche flan ice cream on top of the Halo-Halo.



8. Finish off with a garnish of red and green kaong, and additional toppings like tapioca pearls if desired.


9. Serve the Halo-Halo immediately and enjoy the delightful mix of flavors and textures in each spoonful.
