- 2 lbs of chicken pieces, skinless and bone-in

- 1 cup of plain yogurt

- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

- 2 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste

- 1 tablespoon of garam masala

- 1 tablespoon of ground cumin

- 1 tablespoon of ground coriander

- 1 teaspoon of turmeric

- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

- Salt, to taste

- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

- Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

- Lemon wedges, for serving

1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt.

2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

4. Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.

5. Grease a baking sheet or grill grate with vegetable oil.

6. Place the chicken pieces on the baking sheet or grill grate, making sure they are spaced apart.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or grill for 10-15 minutes on each side, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

8. Remove the chicken from the oven or grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

9. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Tandoori Chicken is best served hot with naan bread, rice, and a side of raita or mint chutney. Enjoy this flavorful and aromatic dish with family and friends!
