Ingredients:

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil

- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup Korean rice cakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces, gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, rice wine, sesame oil, black pepper, garlic, and ginger. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the sliced onion, sweet potato, and cabbage to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are slightly softened.
4. Add the water to the skillet and stir to combine. Cover and let the dish simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
5. If using Korean rice cakes, add them to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until they are softened.
6. Sprinkle the chopped green onions and shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the Dakgalbi. Cover and let the cheese melt for a minute or two.
7. Serve the Dakgalbi hot with steamed rice and enjoy!
